Redefining Spaces
The exact line beneath TATTVAM's mark in the studio's own work profile — and a fair description of how the studio approaches every brief.
About TATTVAM
One of Mumbai's leading design practices, thirteen years in the making.
TATTVAM believes in ethical trade practices and a commitment to offering high-quality interiors and architecture services. The urge to innovate, paired with a customer-centric approach, has helped establish it as one of the leading firms in Mumbai.
With 13 years of experience and more than 100+ projects completed successfully, the studio's founder, Ar. Akanksha Pendharkar, was named Best International Designer Under 40 in 2024.
“Thoughtful design. Refined spaces. Meaningful living.” is a proposed tagline for TATTVAM's brand, drawn from the studio's stated philosophy — offered here for the client's review and approval, not as an existing slogan.
Five Pillars
Tattvam's philosophy is built on five ideas.

“Thoughtful materials, considered details, and a commitment to lasting workmanship.”
Transparency
“Clear communication and ethical trade practices at every stage of a project.”
Trust
“Relationships built on reliability, built to outlast any single project.”
Innovation
“An ongoing curiosity for new ideas in architecture and interiors.”

Design Approach
How a TATTVAM project moves from brief to finished space.
Understanding the Client
Every project starts with the people it is for — how they live, who they entertain, what a space needs to hold and how it should feel.
Understanding the Space
The site, its light, its structure and its constraints are studied closely before a single design decision is made.
Developing the Design Concept
A guiding idea is drawn out of the brief — the story a farmhouse tells through a client's own art, or the traditional motifs woven through a family home.
Material & Detail Exploration
Materials are chosen for how they age and perform, not only how they photograph — waterproof plywood, natural laminates, textured finishes, considered joinery.
Space Planning
Furniture layouts, circulation and zoning are resolved in detail, sometimes — as in TATTVAM's retail work — informed by Vastu Shastra alongside function.
Design Development
Concepts are developed into detailed drawings: furniture layouts, false-ceiling plans, elevations and material schedules.
Execution & Coordination
The design and execution leads carry each project from drawing to site, coordinating the trades that bring a space to completion.
Proposed website presentation of TATTVAM's design approach, built from the studio's project descriptions — client approval required before publishing.
